Savior of The World

When one is trapped alive under the rubble after an earthquake, the thought that is foremost in their mind along with the fact that they could possibly die, is to be rescued. They want to be freed from all that is bearing down on them. Hearing rescuers calling out finally brings a lot of hope. Someone is there to save them.

The world is in a state of collapse. Since the beginning of time mankind has strayed from the life God intended for us to live. We allowed ourselves to be enticed by worldly things and refuse to live by God's standards for us. Doing things that were not right in the sight of God. This is sin! 

Every person on earth knows when they have done, said or thought something that is wrong. That's something that's built in, we were created this way. The moment thoughts are formed, we know whether they are good or bad. We have no excuse for acting on whatever bad thoughts that enter our minds. When we take things that don't belong to us,  bear false witness, take the life of another human being,  hate others who God also created and so on. These are all sinful in the sight of God.  God's punishment for sin is death but He does not want us to die in our sin!

Whether we are burdened by our sin or living care free in them, we need to be rescued. We need to be saved and the very God who created us has made a way for us by sending a Savior. Only through this Savior can we escape His punishment of eternal death. 

Jesus is God's only begotten son. He was sent on a mission to save. There is no other way to be reconciled to God except through Him. He came to earth, revealed the Father, was crucified and buried. He arose after three days. God's love for us is so great that he was sent to take away the sins of the world by dying so we could live eternally. This is life after death. See John 11:25.

God's holy book (the Bible) gives instructions on how to be saved and is filled with knowledge to help us in our walk with Him through Jesus. When we read His word daily His holy Spirit helps us to understand what we are reading.

The question is, do you want to be saved?

John 3:16 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 

I John 4:14-15 

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
