During times of distress and troubles we quote Isaiah 41:10 with the desire for immediate deliverance and relief. Because we're human, this is understandable but we need to be mindful that our faith will be tested repeatedly along the 'straight and narrow road'.
God sees His children with eternity in mind. He wants His character to be formed in us, His focus is the process, we must patiently endure hardship like good soldiers (2 Tim.2:3) He knows exactly what lessons are necessary for each believer.
He says He'll never leave nor forsake us; His promise is that He will sustain and strengthen us until the set time for relief. Therefore, patience and faithful obedience is required.
Like gold purified in the refiner's fire we will grow in grace, glory and victory. In trials, praise God for past benefits, worship Him because He's Omniscient and Omnipotent. Even in suffering the patriarch Job worshipped Him.
