If you were to search for the definition of the word "grace," you would find that it differs from the biblical meaning. For the believer grace is a gift. It is free and is given continuously even though we did nothing to deserve it and there is nothing we could ever do to earn it.
This undeserved gift is given through Jesus Christ who is the epitome of this unmerited favor. He is full of it! Our salvation is through Him by grace to the glory of God. Knowing this we should always be thankful, even on our worst days.
It truly is a powerful gift that keeps on giving. It cleanses, it forgives, it never runs out. It will chase after you during the most difficult times and circumstances. Sometimes as believers we forget how wonderful a blessing grace is, but even when we do, it continues to give. Hebrews 4:16 reminds us to come boldly to God's throne of grace where we will find grace to help us in our time of need.
This free gift is already waiting even for the sinner who believes. It's amazing! The gift of grace prepared in advance and waiting to be received. Oh how God so loves us!
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
