God is love and he has demonstrated the depth of His love for us by sending His son to save us from sin. Have you ever wondered why God's love for us is so great that such a sacrifice needed to be made? He chose and loved us even before He created the foundation of the world! (Ephesians 1:4) There is nothing that we did or could ever do to earn His love. Imagine the vastness of the universe in all its splendor and we were thought of before all that and then created in His likeness. God's love for us is everlasting. It is without conditions or limits, it's immeasurable. It continuously gives and forgives when we fall short. His free gift of salvation, through Jesus reaches even the vilest sinner once they come to repentance. It's there waiting to be accepted by anyone who believes.
I John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
God is light and though we live in a dark world, we know that It is through His light that we are able to make it through each day. We can have joy unspeakable through the many challenges that we face because His light shines in our hearts through His son Jesus our savior. We have hope because we know whose we are in Him and we are sure of the future He has prepared for those who love and believe in Him. His light guides us each and every day so even though we are in this dark world, we can keep our eyes on Him who lights our path to keep our feet from stumbling.
I John 1:5
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
God is Life and the earth is His with everyone and everything in it. He made man in His own image and likeness and blew His breath in him. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He gives life and He takes it away and there is nothing anyone can do about it. He is the creator of all things. He fashioned us by His will and it is amazing how remarkable that is. We sleep and awake by His grace. We have an inner soul and physical appearance. We are able to have private thoughts that only He knows about. Nothing is hidden from Him. We would do well to be mindful of this at all times. All that we have come from Him. He is the only source of eternal life though His son Jesus Christ.
I John 5:11
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
