God's Word Gives Life

The Bible is considered in many ways as God's instruction and inspiration for our life; for time as well as for eternity.

Because it is living and active (Heb.4:12) the Holy Spirit speaks through it to us in new and refreshing ways applicable to the challenges of each day or season.

The verse that points you to Jesus as a new believer might later point you to obedience or encouragement, or hope and comfort when God desires you to have those new perspectives.

The living Word is essential for our ongoing walk with Christ. It is the first place we begin to have faith: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Rom. 10:17).

But beyond that initial hearing the Word continually gives assurance of what to do and when to do it: "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope". (Rom. 15:14)

You need the Bible not only for salvation and to learn about God; you need to engage with it for daily, bread-of-life dependence. Stay grounded in the Word of God so that your life grows stronger and deeper.
