Seek God In Early Life

Solomon encouraged us to remember our Creator now, "before the difficult days come" (Ecc.12:1). Life in some ways gets easier as you age because you discover what matters and contentedly invest there; but life in other ways can get harder.

Therefore, we should put away evil and remove sorrow from our hearts. As we age, our vision dims, the body often gets stiff and feeble. Routine activities can become challenges.

Solomon does not urge us to fear our older days but to be like the squirrel storing nuts for the winter. It's a fact that hard days are coming, so he encourages us to build a solid relationship with God.

In the Bible, the word translated "youth" was applied to men until the age of forty. Paul encouraged mentoring relationships between older men and younger men as well as the older women and younger women.(Titus 2:1-10)

Over all, it is better to seek God in our youth. We need wisdom and guidance to make life-changing decisions. Choices have consequences, therefore, we need Him to "direct our path"
