Jesus Is The Answer

When we accept Christ as our Savior we are demonstrating that we believe who He says He is. We believe that He is the Son of the living God. He is the all powerful, all knowing maker of heaven and earth. We know that there is nothing He cannot do. We all read His word, sing praises to His name. We know that all things are under His control, therefore we must look to Him only.

There should be no room for fortune tellers, mediums, palm readers, astrologers, bead shakers, soothsayers and anything else that falls into this category. You cannot be a child of God and look elsewhere to the things that He detests for help. The Lord Himself says in Leviticus 19:31 ‘'Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God."

Some of us grew up hearing all manner of old wives tails and will put more confidence in ancestral traditions rather than in the promises of God. This should not be. It is okay to accept that some of those who came before us were misguided.

Christ is our all in all. He is the answer! We must live what we believe every single day. We are to trust God at all times and in all circumstances. We should be seeking God and not the people who practice these things for solutions to our problems. We must choose instead to get on our knees and take our cares to the Lord. He is faithful!

Isaiah 8:19

And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?
