There is so much to give God thanks for. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning to when we close them at night and even while we sleep. Our lives should be lived with gratitude even during trying times because He is faithful. We should not take anything for granted.
His plan of salvation for us was set in place even before we were born. It is only when we accept this free gift that we begin to truly understand the sacrifice that was made for us because of how much our father loves us. How can we not be thankful! Just think about all that he has brought us through time and time again. Our hearts should be filled with thanks and our mouths with praise for all He has done before we move on to the next problem.
There are answers to prayers that we haven't even prayed yet because we do not know what lies ahead. There are things that He has kept us from, that only He knows were not good for us even though we faithfully prayed for them. Therefore we should continually be thanking God for His mercies towards us.
We often thank Him only for the big things but we should be thankful for every little thing He has done as well. We know He works things out for our good each and every day.
As for me, His goodness and mercy chases after me, following me around and it is as if I cannot escape it. I have been spared so many times and I know it's because He's watching over me. I'm not writing these few lines of inspiration just for the sake of writing. I'm writing by the grace of God from experience for His glory. His word tells us we are to comfort others with the same comfort we receive from Him. (2 Corinthians 1:4.)
There are times when I'm going through a storm and while checking in on this website I will come across something that lifts me up and I'm so thankful because I have to live what I'm writing about. To God be the glory.
Let us purpose in our hearts to be more thankful to our Lord and Savior for all that He is to us.
Psalms 100:4-5
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
