Anyone can trust God when everything is going well. Unfortunately, life is like a mingled cup; there's the good, the bad as well as the in-between. Whether you're a christian or not, you'll have difficulties from the womb to the tomb.
How you handle challenges depends on whom you place your faith and confidence. The psalmist David said: "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth"(Psa. 34:1).
All throughout the holy scriptures we read of the confidence and trust of the heroes of the faith. The three Hebrew boys' trust in God enabled them to declare that He was able to deliver them (Dan.3:17-18). Daniel himself refused to compromise, he continued to pray to God even though he might lose his life by doing so.
In some parts of the world, many of our brothers and sisters are losing their jobs, their freedom, and even their lives because they trust Almighty God. He is Sovereign and His Will will be done. He is trustworthy and cannot fail, He calls us to Himself and deserves our complete trust and confidence.
Trusting the Lord in the most difficult times will build our faith; it's the fiery trials that will test us. It requires obedience, self-denial, patience, and loyalty; waiting on the Lord guarantees renewed strength (Isa. 40:31).
Since the Lord has already supplied our greatest need by laying down His life for us, we can trust that He will provide, protect, strengthen, and keep us until our journey ends.
