They doubt that Jesus is who He says He is. We all see how having evidence these days means nothing. There are all kinds of cameras capturing various crimes on a daily basis. We see what becomes of some of this evidence in today's courts. They want to take God on concerning identity! The same God that is so intentional in ensuring that we are all uniquely created. Though we all have blood flowing through our veins, we can be identified not only by DNA but also through our finger prints, dental structure and our eyes. These were all designed before our birth. The created being questioning the authenticity of its creator is diabolical!
Some seem to think it's all in nature. They worship what was created rather than the creator Himself. Surely they can do whatever they want. After all they have free will to do so, but never stop to think about the source of that free will.
Think about the current situation concerning the news we read on a daily basis. AI is wreaking havoc with reality. They seem to have no issues with being fed with what they know is not real. In fact it is accepted as great and powerful by the very people who have doubts about an everlasting God. Many take pleasure in sharing a false narrative for their own personal gain. How will future generations be able to tell what is truth and what is not except by God's divine intervention. Jesus did not go around taking anything from anyone. He gave and is still giving!
I was asked how I knew that what's in the bible is correct? My response to this is that knowing Jesus is not limited to what one reads, hence even those who cannot read are able to get to know Him as well. The blind, the deaf, the mute, the disabled, the poor, the rich. Everyone! Man's knowledge and God's holy words are not the same. They cannot be compared. Can anything created using Artificial Intelligence function the same way as what God has created? God is Spirit, but they expect to be able to win arguments concerning spiritual things while not wanting anything to do with God. 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us that the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him. Nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. They are trying to understand things which are only revealed to His saints. Colossians 1:26-27
Another argument being presented is that Matthew, Mark , Luke and John all have European names and they weren't scholars so they could not have been writing anything. Jesus himself changed some of his followers names while He walked the earth. Simon Peter, James, John and also the apostle Paul. Acts 4:13 tells us that Peter and John were not educated. Does this not prove that God can use anyone He chooses. That in itself is brilliant. Though they were not educated look at all that was accomplished through them. See 1Corinthians 1:20-21 and 1Corinthians 3:19 They are trying to discredit the entire bible because of the people God used for His own purposes.
When it comes to the wording in the bible, do people speak the same way as those who lived two thousand years ago? English was not the official language the bible was written in. It was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. There are numerous translations being done even to this day. Believers are mandated to share the gospel. To do this, the bible must be presented in languages people around the world will understand. They also have issues with a serpent that spoke all while we are living in a time where parrots are talking.
They cannot seem to fathom that there is a holy, almighty, all powerful, all knowing, infinite God who is sovereign. There are some who would rather spend their hard earned money seeking help from so-called, fortune tellers, wearing all manner of ornaments for good luck but a creator who will be judging them because of their life choices, that's where they draw the line. Some will go as far as building their own gods that they can control using the very resources the Almighty created! Why would one want to worship something they built with their own hands?
They want to live life on their own terms. It's like an unruly teenager, acting as though they just appeared in their parents lives without the parents involvement. They want to do whatever they want without restrictions. They think the christian life is following a bunch of rules which they will not be able to. God is not waiting around for anyone to fail. That is a misconception. He is love! There are preachers who have been misleading people. The bible talks about them too. They are like wolves in sheep's clothing and Jesus warns us to beware of them.( Matthew 7:15)
Man invented electricity, the internet and numerous other things we find useful today, but where did man's knowledge come from to do all this. We did not create ourselves, so who created man so that he's able to do all these things. Some are using this very intelligence we were created with to try to change their physical appearance among other things, but is limited with how far they can go. With all these inventions, why is mankind not able to prevent death, natural disasters or even to be sure of taking his next breath. Can we decide which baby will be born to a woman, whether male or female?
Is mankind responsible for the water cycle with no beginning or end? Can we decide to empty the ocean or make wind visible? Can we turn night into day and day into night? Did mankind place the sun, moon and stars in the sky to give light to the earth as needed? Can we decide that the leaves on trees should be blue and not green? Mankind can try to discount what is written but what about the evidence all around. Whose report will you believe?
It's amazing that even with their unbelief, God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, also extends to them once they decide to accept it. Could it be that they cannot wrap their heads around this kind of love? Love that continues to give and forgive. Love that keeps no records of wrong. It is quite unbelievable!
Colossians 1:15-17
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
