Finding Our True Identity

In the book of Galatians the Apostle Paul declared that God adopted us into His family. We became His sons and daughters when we believed in and accepted the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. (Gal. 4:4)

We find our true identity through relationship with Christ. When we read and obey the Holy Scriptures daily, our minds are renewed (that creates a God-centred mindset), and our lifestyle is gradually changed to reflect His image.

The Bible is clear that God has always intended for mankind to live, learn, and do life in relationship with Him.(Gal. 4:6) Paul explained to the Galatians that they could address God as "Abba", which is an Aramaic term for "Father".

Jesus used the same term to refer to God the Father and we have intimacy with the Father as Jesus does. In addition, we became joint-heirs with Him, we have a full share in our Heavenly Father's inheritance.

Christ has rescued us from sin's bondage and by obedience to God through the power of the Holy Spirit, we find genuine freedom. Let's live life in full assurance of WHO we ARE as well as WHOSE we ARE.
