Find Hope

In a world where tragedy unfolds so often, how are we coping? We do not even need to turn the news on these days because all around us there is trouble. Some are out of our control, such as natural disasters and accidents, while others are the results of the enemy's control over people whose sole purpose is to bring harm to others.

In all this darkness and pain, there is hope. There has always been. The hope of Jesus. When our world is turned upside down because of these tragic events, only through the love of Jesus can we find the strength to keep going. Jesus is the only answer for hope during and beyond what is happening.

For those who believe in Him and accepted His free gift of salvation, life is not just here on earth, life begins when our mortal bodies are quickened and we go home to be with our Lord. Until that time comes we can stand on every single promise from the word of God. We can take our cares to Him through prayer and be sure that He has the answer. We pray, we believe and we wait for Him to respond in His time. While we are waiting we can lift our hearts in worship and praise which in itself will bring us peace during our trials.

I recently saw a post that states scientists have found that when people pray it helps to relieve stress and that praying also enhances brain function. This is interesting because believers have been privy to this and much more about praying from the word of God. Science is just catching up. We relieve ourselves of our burdens by giving them to the Lord, which is exactly what He asks us to do. We are not doing it enough. We should be praying even when we do not have problems. Jesus Himself prayed often to the Father. Now if Jesus needed to do this, why shouldn't we?

The cares of this world is too much for us to bear and we cannot escape them. We do not have to face life's problems on our own. Jesus is ready to help us in our time of need as His word tells us. He promised He will be with us through it all. Let us look to Him where we can find hope in the midst of life's storms.

Matthew 11:28

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
